The €80 million project promises 500 jobs in the construction phase and another 500 in the new shopping centre and multi-storey car park. Treasury, through their subsidiary Callside Developments, were finally granted planning permission at the end of last year for the Centre Block development after a six year saga of various twists and turns. The plan involves 30 shops, 27 apartments and office space. There will also be a multi-storey car park, which will be linked to a car park planned by Dunnes Stores as part of the re-development of their Adelaide Street store to provide around 1,000 spaces. |
